  residents. He made a lasting impact on how the village prospered and devel
 oped in the late 19th Century. He was also an influential politician both n
 ationally and internationally. The walking route will pass many of the buil
 dings that form part of Forster’s local legacy\, including Wharfeside\, t
 he home he built\, the Queen’s Hall and Greenholme Mill before finishing 
 at his grave at God’s Acre\, Bradford Road. En route we will hear about h
 is life and achievements on both the local and national stage. The walk wil
 l be at a leisurely pace along lanes\, tracks and roadside paths.\n\nBookin
