Local Accessible Routes

Here’s a list of local routes that are accessible for wheelchair and mobility scooter users. Some of the routes are from a fantastic website called Accessible Nature that we recommend. They list plenty of routes throughout Yorkshire as well as others across the country.

Experience Community

Experience Community is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that helps disabled people access the outdoors  through a range of inclusive walking, cycling, conservation and arts activities.

They run training sessions every Thursday and Friday at Leeds Urban Bike Park where people can come along to improve their skills and stamina with the equipment we use at Experience Community.

They have 2 time slots per day: 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 3.30pm and cost £5.00 per session.

Please contact them to book your session.

Access the Dales

Access the Dales is a non-profit organisation that provides free access to the outdoors for everyone. Their mission is to reduce the barriers for people to access the outdoors and be more active. They want to make sure that no-one is left behind, or excluded. They do this by providing all-terrain wheelchairs in different locations in the Yorkshire Dales and in the Forest of Bowland.
