The 5 mile walk this month is led by David Asher, climbing up to the lower levels of Burley Moor to pass by Lower Lanshaw Reservoir.  Meet at Burley Station at 10.00.

Leaving Burley via Scalebor Park, we will go on field paths to Stead Lane.  Passing by Mount Stead, we will cross Moor Road to climb up onto the moor along an old quarry track before crossing to Lower Lanshaw Reservoir.  We will traverse the moor to York View then go along part of Green Lane before dropping down across the fields to the Hermit. Return to Burley will be downhill to Hag Farm Road then back to the station. There will be an option to continue to Cockpit Farm for refreshments.   There are no stiles although there are a couple of steepish climbs up onto the moor, which we will take steadily.  Remember to bring a drink for a half way break.
