The 3 mile walk this month is led by Dave Hawkins, and will include Sun Lane Nature Reserve and the wildlife rich area of Burley Weir and the Goit.  Meet at Burley Station at 10.00.
Going along Southfield Road to Sun Lane, we will walk around the perimeter of the Nature Reserve before heading to Leatherbank  via  Sun Lane and Main Street.  After reaching Burley Weir, we will walk along the Goit, keeping an eye open for kingfishers and other bird life, then up to Great Pasture via the footpath under construction. Return to the village will be along Iron Row, with refreshments at Cockpit Farm tea rooms.  There are gentle gradients around the nature reserve, probably with some muddy paths in places.
