Maggie's Cow & Calf Abseil

Take on the Cow and Calf Abseil and an epic Tyrolean Traverse for Maggie’s Yorkshire on 20th April.

The team from Carnegie Great Outdoors will be showing you the ropes on this incredible challenge. The abseil is open to everyone with no experience necessary.

With an aim to raise £200, your fundraising will help us to continue to support people with cancer and the people they love from across Yorkshire.

Once you have a registered, a member of the team will be in touch to arrange your abseil time.

The whole abseil experience will take 1-1.5hours from your arrival time.

There is a waist limit to our harnesses of 59 inches. Children over the age of 10 can take part with an adult, please contact the team at [email protected] to discuss this further.

Sue Ryder Wharfedale Pub Walk

Starting in Threshfield, there are six refreshment points (five of these are pubs) and four more in the village of Grassington at the end of the walk.

The pubs are The Gamekeepers , The Old HallThe Fountaine InnThe Red Lion, The ClarendonThe Black HorseThe ForestersThe Devonshire Inn and Grassington House.

The route is mainly on public footpaths through fields and on the bank of the River Wharfe. They will be well marked but the route is self-guided and walkers are responsible for themselves at all times.

All participants will receive a Pub Walk T-shirt.

Adult cycling lessons 1

Adult Cycling Lessons

We’re really excited to announce that we will soon be running free adult cycling lessons. In partnership with Capital of Cycling, the lessons are for anyone who wants to learn to ride for the first time or get back on a bike having not cycled in years.  The sessions are FREE and an adult bike will be provided for the lesson duration. Lessons are available to anyone aged 16 up. They will start on Sunday 3rd March at 2pm and take place at Ilkley Rugby Club. If you or anyone you know are interested, all you need to do is sign-up HERE. Sign-up quick as places are limited!
