A fun community event focussed on active travel that will feature:

Moorland Bats- Friends of Ilkley Moor
Moorland Bats- This is a guided twilight walk to discover the night creatures of the moor, in particular bats. Bat detectors will be used to identify the presence of any bats. A moderate walk of about 3 miles around the tarns and within the pine woodland; some uphill climbing involved.. Visit their website to your place.
Wildlife Explorers- Friends of Ilkley Moor
Wildlife Explorers- A summer school holiday activity for children and young people to discover the landscape of the moor and the animals, insects and plants which live there. Wildlife identification, animal tracking, pond dipping and planting wildflower seeds (in pots to take home) will form part of this activity walk. Binoculars and a telescope will be available to use on the day. An easy, slow walk of 2 mile. Visit their website to book your place.

Archaeology Trail- Friends of Ilkley Moor
Archaeology Trail– a 4 mile walk starting from the Cow and Calf Rocks and calling at the Backstone Beck Enclosure; one of the best walks for seeing several Cup and Ring Stones and the remains of Neolithic enclosures and huts. This is a strenuous walk, with uphill walking. Visit their website to your place.
