Adult Cycling Lessons
We’re really excited to announce that we will soon be running free adult cycling lessons. In partnership with Capital of Cycling, the lessons are for anyone who wants to learn to ride for the first time or get back on a bike having not cycled in years. The sessions are FREE and an adult bike will be provided for the lesson duration. Lessons are available to anyone aged 16 up. They will start on Sunday 7th July at 2pm and take place at Ilkley Rugby Club.

On-Road Riding Level 2- Adult Cycling Lessons
This session is are for people who are confident cyclists and would like to develop the skills required for cycling in traffic.
The instructor will work with you to pace the session to meet your needs. We will start on quiet roads and progress as your confidence develops .
We will meet in the car park at the rugby club. There is free parking available.
Bikes and helmets are provided.
If you decide you can’t attend a session you have booked – please cancel it as soon as possible (ideally via Eventbrite – or drop us an e-mail if you can’t work out how to do it yourself).

It’s usually a Double Decker bus run by the reliance Bus Company
We will start from the Street Head Inn, then head down along a hedgerow lined country lane to the village of New Biggin. From here we’ll then follow a tree lined farm track onto a footpath through several meadows through the valley of Bishopdale, before heading up a short hill that’ll bring us into the hidden village of West Burton where we can stop for dinner on the village Green. We’ll then take a short detour to view the spectacular West Burton Falls. We’ll then continue through the meadows of Bishopdale and into Wenslydale. Here we’ll head along the riverside path to Aysgarth Church, passing the iconic Lower, Middle and Upper Aysgarth Falls which were featured in the Film, Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. At the end of the walk, you’ll have time to explore the falls and surrounding area further and visit the café and / or pub before returning back on the 4.53pm 875 bus. For those heading back to Baildon, Shipley and Bradford, get off at Morrisons at Guiseley, cross the road and get the 7.07pm A3 Bradford Bus.
