The Chevin- Burley Walkers are Welcome

Our longer walk this month led by David Steel is around 9 miles. It will head to the highest point of the Chevin at Surprise View.

Heading out eastwards from Burley towards Acrecliffe Farm, we will climb up to West Chevin. After a short stretch of road walking, we will go along field and woodland paths to reach Surprise View.  Passing the Royalty pub, we will then skirt Guiseley before dropping down into Menston to return to Burley. There are some stiles, some moderate ascents, and paths may be muddy in places. Please bring a packed lunch. Refreshments stops will be agreed by the group on the day.

It starts at the Alpkit store in Ilkley and takes you along the riverside and stops for tea & cake afterwards. It’s free to join! Just sign-up via the ‘Visit Website’ ink below.
