Ilkley Cycling Club

Ilkley Cycling Club (ICC) has a regular programme of group rides, including taster rides and more sedate leisure rides.

You are sure to find a group to ride with, and as your cycling needs change, you’ll be able to try different groups and ride speeds.

Specifically, ICC offers:

  • C “social” rides, usually 20-30 miles in length;
  • Taster rides, typically no more than 10 miles;
  • Women-only rides;
  • E rides, for electric bike users;
  • Youth section;
  • Pedal in the Park: fun cycling skills session for youngsters from 4-12 years old, every Tuesday evenings in school term in Ilkley Riverside.

All rides leave from the Old Bridge, Denton Road side, unless stated otherwise. In a typical week (weather permitting), there will be:

  • Mondays, 9.30 am; women only ride;
  • Tuesdays, 9:30 am, rides for more experienced cyclists;
  • Thursdays, 6.45 pm: all category rides;
  • Saturdays, 9:30 am, confidence-building ride;
  • Sundays, all category rides.

Non-members can enjoy two rides with ICC before they will need to join.

Check the ICC website roadmap Ride APP, find the ride you’d like to join, then come along to the Old Bridge at the designated time and make yourself known to the ride leader.

Visit the ICC website to view the regularly updated calendar of events.

FLAB are not a club, but offer sociable, friendly rides for mixed abilities (riders do need to be self-reliant)

FLAB Ilkley social rides meet weekly, year round. They are not a club, they ride for 1-2 hours with no drops and lots of support. Then there is beer at Bar T’at to finish. Averaging between 10-15mph, hills dependant!
Rides are not speedy, but not slow either. Riders need to be self-reliant with their own insurance.
Occasionally, there are weekend rides and trips according to the desires of those involved!
Every Monday evening, year round, leave from near the bike hub in the main car park in Ilkley at 6:30pm.
Anyone interested can call Rachel on 0797 2862930 for a chat.
