CYCLING ROUTE
Ilkley to Burley and back
Whilst this is a short cycle ride, the steep hill going up to the Cow and Calf rock may not make this cycle ride suitable for beginners. It’s a lovely ride past the rocks and alongside the moors and into the picturesque village of Burley and then back to Ilkley.
- Surfaces: paved.
- Type of bike: suitable for any.
- Circular route.
- Points of interest: Cow and Calf Rocks, Ilkley Moor, the village of Burley-in-Wharfedale, Grange Park and Ben Rhydding Nature Reserve.
- Refreshments: Cow and Calf Rocks Cafe, Cow and Calf Pub, The Red Lion Hotel, Cock Pit Farm Tea Rooms and Moss & Moor.
- Parking: Cow & Calf car park, Moor Road bend (limited spaces), Scalebor car park, 211 Main Street car park and Ben Rhydding Nature Reserve (again, limited paces).
- Toilets: No public toilets, but toilets are available at any of the refreshment stops.
